What is D2 steel?
With good edge retention, toughness, and sharpen ability, D2 has been a popular knife tool steel dating back to WWII, and for good reason. This is one of the most common steels used in knife manufacturing. D2 steel is much harder and other steel and holds a great edge. Be sure to use proper knife sharpening technics and tools to keep a sharp edge.
Getting the knife wet will not rust this blade steel. As with all steel, some rust will occur if submerged for long periods of time. Be sure to keep a light coat of oil on the blade to ensure a lifetime of use.
Cobratec replacement blades are available in case your knife blade is broken at any time during its lifespan.
Dual Action OTF

Upon receiving your Cobratec Lightweight Black OTF Knife, it is important you follow the registration process here. The Cobratec warranty registration must be completed within 30 days of purchase to verify ownership. To return a knife under warranty, you must have completed the warranty registration. If you have any additional questions, please contact them directly.
Standard Knife Usage
The Cobratec warranty doesn't cover the following: Loss, damage caused by abuse, neglect, accidents, improper blade sharpening, improper disassembly, or normal paint wear and tear.
Damaged In Shipment
Orders are carefully packed to prevent damage during shipping. If your products arrive and were clearly damaged during the shipping process, please contact the shipping company (Fed Ex, UPS, USPS) immediately to file a claim. It's also important that you keep the box the items were shipped in because the shipping company may send a representative to review the claim.
