AIT Arms would like to introduce to you Cobratec Knives Lightweight NYPD Blue OTF (out the front) knife. With a great feel and excellent action, it’s suited for everyday use. The knife handle also feels great in your hand due to its size (4.5 in) being just enough not to be too big or too small.

Weighing in at just over 4 ounces, this knife will not add extra bulk to your pocket. This knife has an aluminum handle with a D2 steel blade.

What is D2 steel?

With good edge retention, toughness, and sharpen ability, D2 has been a popular knife tool steel dating back to WWII, and for good reason. This is one of the most common steels used in knife manufacturing. D2 steel is much harder and other steel and holds a great edge. Be sure to use proper knife sharpening technics and tools to keep a sharp edge.

Getting the knife wet will not rust this blade steel. As with all steel, some rust will occur if submerged for long periods of time. Be sure to keep a light coat of oil on the blade to ensure a lifetime of use.
