The Cobratec Small FS3 Stonewash

The Cobratec Small FS3 Stonewash starts from a high-grade aluminum alloy handle and features a razor sharp D2 steel blade. The handle of this knife has a Stonewashed finish to produce a faded, worn appearance.

All knives are dual-action (blade deployment and retraction are powered by pushing or pulling the same control switch). This knife features a pocket clip, a glass breaker for emergencies, and includes a nylon sheath.

What is D2 steel?

With good edge retention, toughness, and sharpen ability, D2 has been a popular knife tool steel dating back to WWII, and for good reason. This is one of the most common steels used in knife manufacturing. D2 steel is much harder and other steel and holds a great edge. Be sure to use proper knife sharpening technics and tools to keep a sharp edge.

Getting the knife wet will not rust this blade steel. As with all steel, some rust will occur if submerged for long periods of time. Be sure to keep a light coat of oil on the blade to ensure a lifetime of use.

Double-action OTF knives deploy and retract with a multifunction button and spring design so that you don’t have to do it manually.

OTF Safety

The first and foremost thing that you will have to keep in mind when using auto knives is you have to be very careful when you are opening or closing it. Using the thumb slide, make sure that you are holding the knife in a safe direction with your dominant hand. Stay extremely safe if you are using side opening ones. If you are using OTF knives, ensure that the opening of the blade is not facing you.

Remember a dull knife blade is not your friend!

Warranty Registration

Registration

Upon receiving your Cobratec FS3 Stonewash knife, it is important you follow the registration process here. The Cobratec warranty registration must be completed within 30 days of purchase to verify ownership. To return a knife under warranty, you must have completed the warranty registration. If you have any additional questions, please them directly.

Standard Knife Usage

The Cobratec warranty doesn't cover the following: Loss, damage caused by abuse, neglect, accidents, improper blade sharpening, improper disassembly, or normal paint wear and tear.

Damaged In Shipment

Orders are carefully packed to prevent damage during shipping. If your products arrive and were clearly damaged during the shipping process, please contact the shipping company (Fed Ex, UPS, USPS) immediately to file a claim. It's also important that you keep the box the items were shipped in because the shipping company may send a representative to review the claim.

If the shipping company is unable to process the claim, please email or call us here, to inform us of the situation and we will do our best to assist you with the claim.
