Question: Are the cones good quality, sturdy, and not eaily broken?

Answer: The cones feel sturdy enough. NOT brittle. They have a little flex to them. I haven’t shot too many but so far they seem good. One word of advice, spend a little time and glue the cones on if you are going to use them for hunting. The cones will fall off and you will lose the dart if you don’t.

Question: Can these be used for a .40 cal blowdart gun?

Answer: Yes, IF you are willing to fine-tune the darts. You'll need to carefully measure and trim down the plastic cone with a sharp knife and file down the corners of the razor head to fit.
